Other Projects
Other projects in the Community Service category offer a variety of
activities from which local clubs are free to choose those best
suited to their capabilities and the community's needs. Programs in
this category include:

- Fire Prevention
The Book of Golden Deeds, the oldest of Exchange programs, was first
sponsored in 1919 by the Exchange Club of I Huntington, Ind. Its
purpose is to recognize the good deeds of heroes and heroines of
everyday life.
In optional local club projects, Exchange Clubs have been
responsible for community improvements of all types such as:
museums, cultural centers and programs-, beautification of highways,
air, art and industrial shows, state and county fairs; war
memorials; festivals, rodeos; athletic events, and millions of
dollars for scholarships, gifts, equipment, sponsorships,
