Fund Raising |Recruitment of New Members | CLUB FUND RAISING PROJECTS The main sources of income for our Club are parking cars at the Mississippi Coliseum and at the Farmers' Market. Each member is requested to help park as often as possible. The Board of Directors decides how funds raised will be disbursed. The Board has customarily spent funds raised at the Coliseum on our Club's various National Exchange Club programs of service. These National Exchange Club programs of service include Crime Prevention, The Book of Golden Deeds, Student of the Month/Year, Freedom Shrine, One Nation Under God, and Fire Prevention. Funds raised at the Farmers' Market have customarily been allocated (100%) for the prevention of child abuse - 10% to the National Exchange Club Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse and 90% to the local Exchange Club Parent Child Center. From time to time, the Board of Directors may vote to participate in other fund raising projects. All members are expected to cooperate in such efforts. PARKING UNIFORMS As soon as possible after joining the Club, members should purchase a parking uniform. The official parking uniform consist of a white jumpsuit or an optional Summer uniform (a white uniform shirt to be worn with dark blue or white pants, but not ragged blue jeans, cut offs, etc.). Members will have cloth National Exchange Club emblems sewn to the uniform. The emblems will be provided by the Club Secretary or the Parking Chairman. The Club will credit the member's dues account for the cost of one uniform on their dues statement based on the purchase receipt presented to the Treasurer. The Club will also provide a uniform cap which has a National Exchange Club emblem. It is important that the uniform be worn at parking events and other Club activities as announced. The white uniform is important from a safety standpoint due to its higher visibility at night. Additionally, wearing the uniform helps in minimizing confusion by drivers at these events. The drivers are able to more clearly identify the individuals on the lot who are directing them to a parking place. If a member or former member discards a parking uniform, it is requested that the National Exchange Club emblems be removed from the uniform prior to disposing of the uniform.
